Anna Hillman
31 May - 6 July 2008

Amazingness: a solo exhibition of Greenwich-based photographer and environmentalist Anna Hillman.

Amazingness is: 'The nature, especially in an urban setting, that occurs everyday all around ... easy to miss but always there to be found'.

Work from Anna's series Amazingness will be shown, and a site-specific commission photographed in the streets around the gallery.

Also shown will be photographs taken by children on recent Amazingness photography workshops, and also photographs by visitors who have sent in their own photographs inspired by the Amazingness concept - so please take some photographs and email them to us! Let us know the location of your photograph (street, city, postcode), and your name. If you shoot on film, please post a small print (not bigger than 6"x4") to Louise Forrester at the Viewfinder Photography Gallery. We will display a selection of these images in the gallery space and on Anna's website, and also include some in the exhibition catalogue.

Anna will also be running children's photography workshops, which promise to be lots of fun. After an initial tutorial, children will be encouraged to photograph Amazingness near the gallery. Children will need to bring an adult, and a digital camera - if you don't have a camera, let us know and we'll try to help. Spaces are strictly limited, so book soon to guarantee a place.
