Local photographer Sarah Garrod (www.sarahgarrod.co.uk) and Viewfinder curator Louise Forrester led a fun workshop in portraiture, for children aged between eight and twelve.

After a crash course in taking portraits (thinking about settings, viewpoints, details and so on), children had an hour to take photographs of their parent / guardian in the local area – choosing the location and deciding how the parent was photographed. Parents were also be invited to photograph their children. We reconvened in the gallery for a friendly discussion of the photographs taken.
